One Spirit ~ Many Gifts 2014 How is Jesus calling YOU to be His Disciple? more
Tour of the Church - March 11 at 7:00 p.m.Have you ever wondered about all the various spaces, statues and art that enrich our worship space? Would you like to know more? We invite you to join us for a walking tour of our church. You will learn about its history and the many pieces of art: icons, stained glass, statues and the ambry. All of these add to your appreciation of the beauty, that helps us to better worship in this space. Invite your family and friends to join us.
Our focus this weekend is on Prayer.
Does your Pledge of Prayer reflect these three things?
1) The amount and kind of prayer that Jesus is calling me to?
2) Can I do more?
3) Is it a true sacrifice?
"Prayer is the strength of a Christian and of every believing person. In the weakness and fragility of our life, we can turn to God with the confidence of children and enter into communion with Him. In face of so many wounds that do us harm and that could harden our heart, we are called to plunge ourselves into the sea of prayer, which is the sea of the boundless love of God, to relish His tenderness. Lent is a time of prayer, of a more intense, more assiduous prayer, more able to take charge of the needs of brothers, to intercede before God for so many situations of poverty and suffering."
~ POPE FRANCIS
This weekend Mary Picard will give witness at all the Masses on the Power of Prayer in her life.
For information on the recent MPR article with regard to Fr. Gerald Grieman, please see the statement by the Archdiocese, in particular where it notes: "Allegations against Father Gerald Grieman, now retired, were reported to the New Brighton Police Department and determined to be without merit."
Theology on TapTheology on Tap is an opportunity for young adults (ages 18-39) to explore issues and topics that relate to the Catholic faith in a fun and casual environment. It begins with a short talk on a faith topic and encourages discussion and a deeper understanding of the faith. More information
