COATS--COATS--COATS
The Social Concerns Network, of which St. John's is a member, will again be collecting gently-used coats, mittens, and new hats.  These will be combined with collections from several other local churches and given away to those in need on Saturday, January 15, at the Mounds View Community Center.  Collecting at St. John's will take place at all masses on the weekends of January 1/2 and January 8/9.  We had great participation at St. John's last year.  Please help again by donating your surplus winter clothing.  Children's items are especially needed. If you have any questions about this event, call Carole Beggs @ 651-639-9103.

Respect Life...
Cathedral Prayer Service and March for Life

Saturday, January 22, 2000

Make plans now to join the group from St. John's Church going to the Cathedral for the annual prayer service led by Archbishop Flynn to demonstrate respect for all human lives:  born and unborn, whatever their age or condition.
A march around the Capitol following the prayer service will show our legislators and Governor Ventura that the pro-life cause is alive and well in Minnesota!
We will meet in the east parking lot at St. John's at 9:15am and ride to St. Odilia's parking lot where a charter bus will be waiting.  Bring the kids; dress warm, and do your part for the pro-life cause!  Any questions?  Call 612-789-8647.
