The homebound of our parish have gifts to offer our   community and need to know we walk with them even though they aren't able to be with us each week at  Eucharist. We are trying to compile a more complete list of homebound parishioners, so we can include them in parish life.  Please call Anne Marie at the parish office with names of parishioners you know are homebound.

GROWING THROUGH LOSS SERIES

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY MEETING
The St. Vincent de Paul Society meeting is Tuesday, October 17th at 7:00 p.m.  All parishioners are welcome to become a part of this charitable organization.  If you are interested, but are unable to attend, please call Deacon Rod Palmer at (651) 639-0137.   Coming: Clothing collection Sat. 10/28 in church parking lot from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

School News...

There is early dismissal for students on Wednesday, October 18 at 12:25 p.m.  Kindergarten AM is in session but there are NO CLASSES for kindergarten PM.  There are NO CLASSES for students October 19 & 20 because of teacher retreat and workshop. 
Please continue to save Campbell's Labels for Education   Program, General Mills for Education Box Tops, Kellogg's box tops, pop tabs and bring them to the school office.

 
Seniors...

CASINO TRIP
Our next casino trip is Monday, November 6 to St. Croix.  Flyers on are on the bulletin board in the back of church, and in office.  Because of the delay in getting flyers out, the deadline is cancelled.  Any questions, call Ginny Petro at (763) 784-5254.

FANNIE HILL CHRISTMAS SHOW TRIP
The Silvertones are sponsoring a bus tour to the Fannie Hill Dinner Theatre in Eau Claire, WI for dinner and a matinee performance of their Christmas special show.  The tour will be on Wednesday, November 29.  We will St. John's at 10am and return by 6 p.m.  Cost $42.  Flyers with additional information and registration form are available in the "seniors" racks on the bulletin boards of the east and west entrances.    The absolute deadline for registration is October 27.  For more information call Joe Kenney at the parish office.

Living Rosary

Includes a special blessing for expectant mothers. 
Volunteers are needed to participate in the Rosary.  Please gather in the narthex by 6:40 p.m. If you would like to participate, please call Lois at 651-633-6086, or come to the library beforehand to see what spaces are still available.
Everyone is invited to attend.  Layette items will be  collected for Birthright.  A basket will be at the         baptismal font for your donations.  Following the      Rosary a short CCW business meeting will be held in the cafeteria with refreshments.
