THANK YOU!
Thank you to all the Faith Formation/Religious Education students who donated personal care items for Simpson Housing and Theresa Living Center during Advent. We were able to deliver nearly 50 bags/boxes of items to the shelters. Thanks, also to the Scarr and Marchiafava families for delivering the items.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Circle of Women&
Circle of Women invites ALL women of ALL AGES to join us on Thursday, January 20 (9:15--11:30am) in the lower level of the parish center. Our featured speaker will be Deacon Joe McPherson. Deacon Joe will talk about people living on the streets and Native American spirituality. Come join us and bring a friend!

Please, I need teachers desperately for Tuesday 4:45 & 6:30pm and Wednesday 4:45pm. If you aren't available then pray for someone else to volunteer. Call me. Write me. Welcome to our guest soloist at the 9:30 and 11:00 masses today, phenomenal contemporary gospel singer Gwen Matthews. What a musical treat! And this is only a "foretaste of things to come." Mark your calendars for our concert with her on Friday, February 4 @ 7:30pm. Gwen will delight us with selections from her new CD, "Celebrate Faith," backed by St. John's own talented electric group and choir. Our musicians will open the show. Don't miss this joy-filled, fun event!
By the way, YOU WILL INVITED to join St. John's gospel choir for this event! The parts are easy and fun, and you don't need to read notes or be Pavarotti to participate. Just show up at 8:00 Wednesdays in the church for our rehearsals between now and February 4. It'll be a great time!
