SEEKERS:  Adult Theological Book Club
We're SEEKERS.  We read, think, and discuss, hoping our head-knowledge will travel to our heart, where we find the Compassionate God.  You're welcome to join us at any of our meetings:  Second Thursday of every month, 7--8:30 pm, Parish Center.  The book to read for March 9 is:  Beyond Religion, by David N. Elkins, Ph. D Published by Quest Books, Wheaton, Illinois.

Youth Newz&
BASKETBALL TOURNEY

Open to all 9 -12th graders!
Form your teams with your friends for this mini-tournament.  Teams are 5 people.  Games will be 20 minutes.  Winning team will win movie tickets.  Call Rick Craig and leave a message to sign up your team by 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 2.  It's not too late to sign up! (612) 754-7666.

Circle of Women&
Circle of Women invites ALL women of ALL ages to come join the circle on Thursday, March 2  (9:15--11:30am) in the lower level of the RECTORY.  (Note:  New Meeting Location).   Our featured speaker will be Gabriel Ross.  Gabriel has spoken to several of the St. John's Confirmation classes over the years.  She will be sharing with us insights and reflections on our images of God and how this affects our spiritual journey.  Come join us and bring a friend!

Music Notes&
Thanks to the Children's Choir for singing today at the 9:30 and 11:00 p.m. Masses under the direction of Monica Healy.  This is their final appearance this year (due to the director's pregnancy!), but we will see them back in the fall.

Perhaps you still wish to purchase a Gwen Matthews CD or tape.  Gwen is stopping by today, Sunday February 27, with CDs on hand between the 9:30 and 11:00 Masses.  Say hello and tell her how much you enjoyed the concert!

The Gwen Matthews concert is set to air on Cable TV channels 15 and 16 on Friday, March 10 at 3:00 p.m. and the next morning, March 11 at 7:00 a.m.  Further airings have not been scheduled yet.

Prayer Vigil Changes&
Starting March 2 our monthly Eucharistic Adoration will be held in the Chapel in the Main Church from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the Thursday preceding First Friday.
Father Murtaugh has asked that we not keep night hours at the present time.  As parking will be restricted to the west parking lot, the main church door will be open during adoration hours.
Please sign up as usual on the boards located near the church doors so that Our Lord may not be unattended during vigil hours.
