JR. HIGH LOCK OUT! April 7-8, 7p-8a Deadline: March 31 All 7-8 graders are invited for our annual Mystery Tour and lock-in! Cost is $18/person. Guests are welcome. Some parts of the lock-in will be at St. John's, some will not. What are we doing? That's the mystery! Maybe bowling, pool hall, eat pizza and much more! Participants will need a sleeping bag, gym clothes, and extra money for snacks or video games. Questions, call Rick, 763-754-7666. Permission slip and money need to be to Rick by deadline.
SR. HIGH RETREAT: "SPEED" March 31--April 2 If you missed the deadline for the Senior High Retreat there is still time to register. Send in your form to Rick Craig to the Parish Center. Circle of Women& There will be no meeting this Thursday March, 23 due to Spring Break. See you next Thursday, March 30.
Sowers of Justice& ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY MEETING The St. Vincent De Paul Society meeting will be held next Tuesday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the rectory. Anyone interested in learning more about the work of this charitable organization is welcome to attend. If you have an interest, but are unable to attend, please call Rod Palmer @ 651-639-0137.

School News& We would like to congratulate the three students from St. John's who participated in the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair held at Augsburg College March 10 and 11. 8th Graders -- Julia & Elizabeth Remes 7th Grader -- Christina Cotter All three girls won blue ribbons for their science projects. Some special awards were also won by two of these students. Julia Remes won several awards -- among them: Young Scientist Discovery Channel Award Top Junior High Agricultural Award $100 + tickets to Science Museum Christina Cotter won first place and was the only female award winner in two categories of Air Force and engineering. St. John's School was also presented a trophy for participating. Congratulations to all three students and Mrs. Hirsch for a job well done. There are NO CLASSES March 20--24 because of Spring Break. Circle April 6 & 7 on your calendar. Parent-teacher conferences are 1:00--7:30 on Thursday, April 6 and 9:30--12:30 on Friday, April 7. There is early dismissal on Wednesday, April 5 at 12:25 -- No P.M. kindergarten classes. There is early dismissal on Thursday, April 6 at 12:25 -- No A.M. kindergarten classes. P.M. kindergarten attends in the A.M. There are NO CLASSES for students on Friday.
ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST STUDENTS AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS
Congratulations to Caitlin Barnier, Samantha Bergh and Brianna Goad, students at St. John the Baptist School, who have been named recipients of the Saint John the Baptist de La Salle--Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger Scholarship at Totino-Grace High School for the 2000-2001 school year. This one-year scholarship in the amount of $200 is given to a limited number of incoming freshmen who have shown exceptional leadership in faith formation, service and community building.
Congratulations to Meghan Kallok, a student at St. John the Baptist School, who has received a $500 Academic Scholarship at Totino-Grace High School for the 2000-2001 school year. Meghan has been awarded this scholarship for achieving one of the highest scores on the Placement Exam given to all incoming freshmen.
