Sowers of Justice&
SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE
Jesus said:  "The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor& Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."  (Luke 4:16-19, 21).  We have just celebrated, as Church, Jesus' victory over sin and death, but, the task he describes in this scripture passage is not complete.  The responsibility to continue his task falls to us.  If you understand and agree, then we need you to join us on the parish Social Justice Committee.  Our next meeting is Monday, May 1, 7:00 p.m. in the Rectory.  All are welcome!  If you cannot make this meeting but would like to be involved, please call Joe Kenney, (651) 633-8333.

LET US HELP WITH YOUR SPRING CLEANING!
On Saturday, May 6, the St. John the Baptist St. Vincent De Paul Society will be conducting a used clothing drive.  Clean clothes in usable condition for all ages are needed.  The clothes go to the three St. Vincent De Paul Society second hand stores operated in the Archdiocese.
