"The Savior sows the word.  But those sown on rich soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit thirty and sixty and a hundredfold."      Mark 4:14,20

This fall we will begin a study of the Bible using a program called Little Rock Scripture Study.  We will begin a ten week series with the Gospel of Mark.  Mark is the shortest of the New Testament gospels and is likely the first to have been written. Mark's almost breathless narrative stresses Jesus' message about the kingdom of God now breaking into human life as good news (Mark 1: 14-15) and Jesus himself as the gospel of God (Mark 1:1; 8:35; 10:29)  Jesus is the Son whom God has sent to rescue humanity by serving and by sacrificing his life (Mark 10:45).  Come hear the Good News!  Monday evenings 7:00 p.m. For more info. Monthly Prayer Vigil&
We believe as Catholics that Jesus loves us so much that He dwells with us day and night in the Blessed Sacrament.
  "
I have loved you with an everlasting love and constant is my affection for you."
"My delight is to dwell with the children of men."

Our monthly Eucharistic adoration will take place Thursday, July 6, in the Chapel from 9:00 a.m.--9:00 p.m.  The southwest door will be open during vigil hours.  You are invited to sign the boards by the church entrances so that Our Lord may not be unattended.

REMINDER:
Hospitals in the metro area have a Catholic Chaplain assigned to them and most hospitals do not inform parishes anymore about parishioners who are patients.  If you should be hospitalized, let the Catholic Chaplain/Pastoral Care department know your wishes.  If you would like a visit from one of us at St. John's, be sure to have someone call us.  If you would like to be anointed with the Sacrament of the Sick before entering the hospital, just call or see one of the priests after daily or Sunday Mass.  Some people do not wish to be prayed for publicly or have their names in the bulletin.  If you do, please call the office.    -- Fr. Bill
