Senior Center&
CHAIR AEROBICS
The inaugural event for the new Senior Leisure Center in the Pastoral Center will be a Chair Aerobics Class.  Chair Aerobics is a low impact exercise suitable for anyone.  It is of particular value to persons of limited mobility or flexibility.  It is done sitting down.  Each person participates at his/her own comfort level.  If you have some concern as to whether it is right for you, check with your health provider.  This activity is for both men and women (we all need exercise!)  This will be offered three mornings a week, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday beginning at 9:15 a.m.  Coffee and juice will be served after the morning Mass on each of these days.  All are welcome to join us for the hospitality and, if you wish, try out the Chair Aerobics exercise.  If interested please call Joe Kenney, 651-633-8333 to register.

SAINT THOMAS ACADEMY will host an ADMISSIONS RECEPTION on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28 at 1:00 p.m.  Families interested in enrolling students for FALL 2002 are invited to attend.  ENTRANCE EXAMS WILL BE GIVEN ON JANUARY 19 and JANUARY 26.  Saint Thomas is a Catholic, college-prep school for young men, grades 7-12.  If you have any questions about Saint Thomas Academy or the program, please call the admissions office at 651-683-1515.

Now that the offices are moving over to the Pastoral Center, we will again use the parish rectory as a residence.  Fr. Joe Whalen, pastor of St. William's, will be living here.  We had to sell all the furniture that was in the rectory to make room for the staff, plus there was no place to store anything.  If you have gently used furniture in GOOD shape, we could use it to re-furnish the rectory.  We could use: sofas, easy chairs, end tables, lamps & misc. If you are downsizing or re-decorating and can help, call Teri at the office.
    Thanks,
    Fr. Bill

Thanks to all who joined us and helped us celebrate the dedication of the new St. John Pastoral Center.
Special thanks to Fr. Bill & Fr. Michael, the musicians, the Art & Environment Committee, the parish staff, all the volunteers who helped with the reception & open house,
and the parishioners of St. John the Baptist.
