Faith Formation&
REMINDER:  All first time parents of second graders need to attend the Reconciliation Meeting on Oct. 8 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  This meeting is for PARENTS ONLY.
Parents who have already had a child go through the sacrament of Reconciliation are to meet on Saturday, Oct. 13 in the school cafeteria from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. 

ELEMENTARY RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
If you have not registered your child for Grades 1-6 there are still openings on Tuesday for 4:45 & 6:30 p.m. classes.  All Wednesday class sessions are FULL and we are not accepting any more students for Wednesday evening classes.

CELEBRATE THE WORD
Children who have registered will not have their own liturgy until the beginning of November when the new chapel is complete.  Training for volunteers will be in late October.  Thank you for your patience.  Questions?  Call Teresa Nueman at 651-633-1540.

SEEKERS:  Adult Theological Book Club

OCTOBER IS ROSARY MONTH
St. John's Council of Catholic Women will host the annual Living Rosary in the church on Monday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m. In addition to the Living Rosary a special blessing will be given to all expectant mothers, which is most appropriate since October is both Rosary and Respect Life month.  If you wish to participate as a bead in the Rosary, please call Lois, 651-633-6086 and gather in the narthex by 6:40 p.m. All are invited to join us.  Hospitality following.

MEMORIALS
In our new Pastoral Center a crucifix will be placed in each room. The crucifix we chose was one created by the Benedictine monks of Conception Abbey in Missouri. The corpus of each is crafted in bone white and set against a dark oak cross. They have been graciously donated by a parishioner who wishes to remain anonymous.


A WORD ABOUT THE DEDICATION
The new Pastoral Center will be dedicated on Saturday, October 13th at 4:30 pm with Bishop Campbell presiding. This Mass of Thanksgiving will be longer than usual.  Open house will follow all Masses. Incense will be used at 4:30, 7:30, 9:30 & 11:30. 6:15 will be incense free.

EAST/WEST ENTRANCES AND EAST PARKING LOT
The present west entry will be used for the last time on Saturday, October 13, for the 4:30 pm Mass of Dedication. The following morning it will become an emergency exit only. East/West Entrance to the church will be through the Pastoral Center only following the dedication.
ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 13TH
"   Enter through the present west entry for the 4:30 Mass of Dedication and/or the south doors
"    After this Mass, the outside hardware will be removed from the west doors

ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 14TH
"    Enter through west or east canopy new entrance or south doors.
"    Park in the new east parking lot beginning today for the Sunday Masses

PRAYERS FOR PEACE
Come and pray the Rosary for peace on selected Thursdays during the month of October.  Prayers will   begin at 7:00 pm in the Church on Thursdays October 4, 18,  & 25.
