Circle of Women&
The Circle of Women will take a break on Thursday, November 15 and Thursday, November 22.  We will resume Thursday, November 29 when we will be joined by our guest speaker Pat Samples.  Her talk will be "Care and  Comfort for the Caregiver." Pat is a transformational educator, writer, speaker and workshop leader on  caregiving and other personal development topics.  She is author of six books including, "Daily Comforts for  Caregivers," "Self-care for Caregivers: A Twelve Step Approach." and "Comfort and Be Comforted: Reflections for Caregivers.  invite women of all ages to join us in the  St. John Pastoral Center (upper level) from 9:15--11:30 a.m.  Childcare is provided by Kari Gill (please pre-register your child by calling 763-785-6947). 

Faith Formation&
ATTENTION:  WEDNESDAY NIGHT ELEMENTARY RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PARENTS:

SEEKERS:  Adult Theological Book Club
We are seeking to form an adult faith.  We read a variety of books, and raise a variety of questions.  You are always welcome to join us, we ask only that you read the book.  The book for November is A History of God by Karen Armstrong, (Ballentine Books, New York).  We will meet Thursday, November 29, 7-8:30 p.m. in the St. John  Pastoral Center, St. Vincent de Paul Room.  Explore your faith, expand your vision.  Questions?  Call Mary Ann  Zervas at 651-633-1540 ext. 1228.

FAITH FORMATION COMMITTEE MEETING
The minutes of the October 16 meeting of the Faith Formation Committee are:

1. One board position remains unfilled.
   
2. The revised Faith Formation Committee goal is:    Christian Faith Formation at St. John's welcomes     everyone and provides programs that foster growth in the Catholic faith.  We support each individual's    spiritual journey and recognize the parent or guardian as primary educator of his or her child(ren).  Our faith calls us to become a community formed by the Gospel, nurtured in liturgy and committed to service and     justice for others.
   
3. Methods to streamline the registration for faith         

formation programs were discussed, including registration tables several weeks before classes end, a follow-up phone bank, bulletin insert and more extensive marketing.
Our next meeting is November 15 at 7:00 p.m.

Youth Newz&

Sr. High (9-12th grade) students& Did you miss Peer   Ministry Training?  New training materials are now available.  We still want you!  Contact Sara Riehle for more information, 763-754-7666.

Odyssey, junior high faith formation, will meet on Wednesday, November 14.  All students are reminded to bring their Bibles! 

Junior highers, JHL will meet in the youth room from 7:30--9:00 p.m. on November 14! See you there!

JHL is still in need of snack donations for the year long program.  If you would like to contribute please contact Sara @ 763-754-7666.

Senior High Service Club II will meet Wednesday,  November 14 from 6-9 p.m.

Junior and senior high students are you interested in doing service?  Do you feel like "giving back" over the holiday season?  There are lots of service opportunities in the community like donating gifts, packaging gifts, caroling, or playing games with kids or elderly.  Call Sara for more information, 763-754-7666.

Confirmation Candidates, parents and sponsors:  Plan to meet Sunday night, November 18, in St. Joseph's Hall, at 7:00 p.m. (after 6:15 Mass).

School News&

The PTO general meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday,    November 13, in the cafeteria.  There will be a $50    drawing.  YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

Parent-teacher conferences are Wednesday, Nov. 14, 8:00 a.m.--6:00 p.m.; Thursday, Nov. 15, 9:00 a.m.--8:00 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 16, 9:00 a.m.--3:30 p.m.  There are NO CLASSES for the children on these days.

Please continue to save Campbell's Soup Labels for  Education labels, General Mills Cereals Box Tops for Education, and pop can tabs.  Please bring all your items to the school office.
