Catholic Schools Week--"Come to the Lord with Grateful Hearts--January 28-February 2, 2001
Registration of kindergarten for the 2001-2002 school year is part of CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK.  please join us at our OPEN HOUSE, Sunday, January 28 at 12:30--2:00 p.m.  Registration takes place in the gym from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Please bring the following for registration:

  1. Birth Certificate
  2. Baptismal Certificate unless baptized at St. John's.
  3. A fee of $50 is paid at the time of registration.  No   student is considered registered unless the fee         accompanies the registration form.

CASINO TRIP--LAST CALL!
Tuesday, January 16--TREASURE ISLAND--bus leaves at 9:15 a.m.  Cost:  $6.00 with $5.00 returned at the casino.  PLEASE WEAR YOUR NAME TAGS! Brochures in "Seniors" racks on the bulletin board in back of church or at the parish center.

SILVERTONES MEETING
Wednesday, January 17--9:00 a.m. We will be going to New Brighton Service Center for lunch followed by     OCTOBERFEST an accordian presentation by Joe Deethelm.  Reserve your spot by calling (651) 638-2145 by Monday, January 15.

OLD LOG THEATER
February 22, 2001-- "A Bed Full of Foreigners" at the Old Log Theater, $35 for lunch/theater & transportation.   Reservation forms in the "seniors" rack in the back of church or at the parish center.

ATTN:  BACKPACKERS!
To those men interested in the Canadian Rockies Trip the information meeting time has BEEN CHANGED from 12:30 p.m. to 10:40 a.m. (between Masses) on Sunday, January 28.  If you are considering this trip, but your idea of a yearly vacation is to pamper yourself in gentility at the Holiday Inn--this trip is not for you!  This is for men with aspirations and outdoorsman.  Who, after having conquered the elements, can stand to face the wind and belch, snort or fart triumphantly!  The dates for the trip are Sunday August 5th--Tuesday August 14th.  Party is  probably limited to about 20 men.  If you are interested please contact Fr. Michael at the parish office. 

Married Couples…

The Annual Cana Dinner is scheduled for Saturday,    February 17, 2001--mark your calendars & look for      reservation information soon!!! We have a dynamic speaker, fabulous food and lots of fellowship planned for this special evening.
