From the Pastor& All of us need help on the journey of faith. At times we have doubts about God, the church, Jesus, morality, Sacred Scripture, etc. One way to grow in our faith, our spiritual lives, is to read the lives of the saints, both canonized by the Church, and those not canonized. Their lives can be an inspiration to us as we try to be people called and formed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe our young people can learn to appreciate their faith by reading the lives of heroic men and women. The younger generation seems to be seeking not the letter that kills, but the spirit which awakens. Read the life of a saint or a modern Christian this Lent. Tell your children the lives of the saints. Here is a quick quiz--in case the questions come up on Jeopardy or Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? Or maybe you want to know more about different saints for your devotional life.
