GROWING THRU LOSS--GRIEF SUPPORT SERIES
Thursday, March 15, Church of St. William, 6:45-9:00 p.m. "The Grieving Family".

OPEN DOORS
DIVORCED OR WIDOWED SINGLES
The response to beginning a group for singles has been good--this group is for those individuals who are now single because of divorce or death of a spouse.  It seems there is support for young never married singles and  seniors.  This group is for those in between those two places.  We will meet on Tuesday, March 20 after the 6:00 p.m. Mass at the back of the church--thanks for your   response and welcome!  Call Anne Marie for more info. (651) 633-8333.

HEALTH SCREENING
Call for your HealthScreen Plus screening appointment.  Screenings will take place on March 19 in the school gym.  You need an appointment and can make one by calling (952) 447-2059.  For more information, read the flier in  today's bulletin.

Parish Pastoral Council&
ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL APPLICATIONS INVITED

The St. John the Baptist Parish Council (PPC) is a prayerful visionary group of parishioners responsible for identifying the needs and wants of our faith community; for discerning how those ideas fit into our goal, and for prioritizing and providing leadership for action programs.  We advise our Pastor, and work in collaboration with all parish committees and staff.  Some membership terms expire this summer, so we are accepting applications.  Qualifications are: (1) membership in the parish, (2) 18 years of age or older, (3) willingness to prayerfully and energetically provide servant leadership to our faith community.  The PPC normally meets once a month as a large group, and sub-committee meetings are scheduled as needed.  PPC members are assigned as liaison to one or more parish committees, and will attend those committee meetings as well.  We invite those who are interested to call the Parish Center and ask for an    application.  Please consider weather you may be called to help lead us in our collective faith journey.

Quilters' Corner&

DYE DEMONSTRATION:  On March 27, 2001 Elna Goodspeed will discuss and demonstrate the dyeing of fabric for quilting.  Come and learn how to obtain just the right shade for your quilting creations without searching every fabric store in town.  We will gather at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center basement.  Bring a friend.  Everyone is welcome.  Refreshments will be served.
