Socks for the Homeless

Twin Cities homeless shelters need about 300 pairs of adult socks per month.  A pair of socks costs about $1.00, you can buy a package of white adult size athletic socks at Target Stores for about $6.00.  During Lent there will be containers at the church doors to receive socks for the homeless.  Our goal this Lent is to collect a one month supply (300 pair) of adult socks.  Will you help?  The homeless have a special cross to bear.  Just as Simon helped Jesus carry his cross, will you help the homeless, in this small way, carry theirs?
