HELPED NEEDED FOR CARE AND
COMPANIONSHIP
Help is needed during the day for a female parishioner who is recovering from surgery--NO NURSING CARE IS NEEDED, just someone to visit, play cards, dominoes, befriend.  This could be a paid position --the family is open to options.  Care is needed from 8:00am--5:00pm weekdays.  A college student needing summer  employment, a retiree who could commit to any number of hours during the week--any help you could offer would be most appreciated.  Call Anne Marie                (651) 633-8333 if you are interested.

During these days when we THINK spring may come, and then again we feel winter's chill still in the air, I offer you this:
God of Laughter
Thank you God, for seasoning our world with silliness and surprise.  Thank you for barely suppressed giggles of children; for chuckles at our own absurdity; for side-splitting, teary eyed laughter in recognition of the nonsense of life.  A sip of your foolishness is sweeter than all the world's weary wisdom.  A breath of your hope is more sustaining than all the world's proud cynicism.  Thank you for each taste of the new heaven and the new earth where mourning and crying and pain are no more, but where all creation joins in glad celebration.  AMEN.
