Connections&
June 10--The Holy Trinity

  • Thus says the wisdom of God:  "The Lord possessed me, the beginning of his ways, the forerunner of his prodigies of long ago... "  Proverbs 8:22-31
  • The Spirit of truth will guide you to all truth... "
    John 16:12-15

Whether punk or Bach, 'A' is always 'A'
Pick up any musical instrument and play the note 'A'.  That particular sound has been 'A' since the beginning of time, it will be 'A' today and tomorrow and next week, it will be 'A' a thousand years from now.  Whether it is heard in an aria from a Mozart opera or in a riff from Aerosmith, that unique sound is 'A.'
Take a handful of seeds and plant them in the ground; water and care for them, and soon a plant will sprout.  Every seed has the potential to produce a bountiful harvest or magnificent blossoms.  Whether we use those seeds to feed the starving or amass great wealth for ourselves, a seed, planted and nourished with care, holds within its shell the potential to produce a wonderful garden.
Think about the person you love most and who loves you most.  In their eyes you will always find welcome, in their embrace you will always feel safe, in their    presence you will always know joy.  Relationships are struggles--we risk rejection, vulnerability, being taken advantage of.  But when we work at our relationships, love grows, heals and blossoms.
CONNECTION:  Today's feast of the Trinity calls us to   realize the lasting and eternal gifts of God:  the beauty of inspiration, the wonders of nature, the meaning of love.  How we use these things and to what end we manipulate them is the beginning of finding God and discovering the purpose of this life God gives us.  May God, the Giver and Author of all good things, give us the wisdom to discover the goodness in all things and to make faithful and hope-filled use of such      goodness in order to transform our lives and world in the   eternal goodness of God

"Come to me all you weary, I will refresh you& learn from me--my yoke is easy and my burden light."
    Matthew 11
