Music Notes&
Adult Choir is now in session!  Welcome back to the 9:30 a.m. liturgy - we missed you! We are looking for a few tenors and basses but anyone who can carry a tune is invited to join us.  This fall promises to be exciting as we dedicate the new building and move to our new choir room! Young parents - we offer childcare of rehearsal nights once we move into the new pastoral center.  We also offer flexibility for those who could only join us part-time or seasonally.  Talk to Cheri.  If you enjoy singing, we want you.

Earthen Vessels our acoustic folk group, is a go for twice monthly at the 4:30 p.m. Mass.  First rehearsal is Monday, September 24 at 7:15 p.m.  We are looking for more singers and percussion, bass (keyboard or electric), and a synth player (we have the synth).  Musicians out there:  this is a fairly light but highly enjoyable commitment, join us!

At the 4:30 and 9:30 Masses this weekend is our parishioner jazz combo, Spiritu, which features Harry Reiner on trumpet, Paul Haack on bass, Bill Boyce on drums and Cheri Sykes on piano.  Come hear them regularly at the 11:30 Mass.

The Dick Macko Band, including parishioner Harry Reiner, is leading our Polka Mass today.  They are also part of the Fallfest entertainment line-up on stage this  afternoon.  Welcome!

HOSANNA the 7-12th grade choir/ensemble is getting ready for another exciting year!  Rehearsals begin Sunday, September 23 from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. in church.  We need LOTS more people to join this group to  continue the great things we started last year.  All students who enjoy music are welcome and encouraged to join.  Talk to your friends and give it a try!

THE ALL NEW "HALLELUJAH" CHORUS
Open to all 3-6th graders of the parish.  Rehearsals begin Sunday, September 23 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in church.  It's a new time - but for families who do the 11:30 Mass, it'll make for an easy drop-off/pick-up time.  Our goal is to PRAISE GOD with BEAUTIFUL sounds, learn music within the liturgy, and of course, to have fun!

Building Project Update&
Taping and painting of walls is almost complete.  Crews have started laying the tile on the steps that will be part of the grand staircase on the south side of the new building.  Finishing touches in the gathering space will be completed this week so they can begin laying the porcelain tile floor.  The masonry, roofing and excavating contractors have finished all their work.  They have started laying carpet and tile on the lower and second levels of the building.  Work continues on the chapels, which will be completed the first week of November.  All mechanical and electrical work should be finished in three weeks, at which time they will turn everything on for the first time.  We are hoping to get our certificate of occupancy for the new building the week of October 1.  A final and complete certificate of occupancy will be given once the chapels have been finished.  We will dedicate and open the building to the parish community the   weekend of October 13 - see you there!
