School News&

Fifty years ago our parish celebrated the excitement of opening our parish school.  Our school has been an important symbol of our commitment to our families, our neighbors and our community.  On October 6, please say a little prayer of celebration as our students, teachers, families and friends once again return some of that commitment by participating in the annual Marathon for Nonpublic Education.  In the next few weeks parents will be calling to invite any support you may be able to offer.  Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated by our children.  If you would like to contribute and are not contacted, please call Sister Gwendolin, principal, at     651-633-1522.

Youth Newz&

7-8th graders, Odyssey begins this Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 4:45 or 6:30 p.m. at St. John's.  Please attend the session you registered for.  Call Rick Craig (763-754-7666) with questions.

9-12th graders who have joined Service Club are reminded that it begins Wednesday, Sept. 19.  Service Club meets on five Wednesdays from 6 - 9 p.m.  See the Newzpaper for details or call Rick at 763-754-7666.

CONFIRMATION ORIENTATION
Sunday, September 30, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. (after 6:15 Mass).  Confirmation students, parents and sponsors are asked to attend.  Contact Rick Craig for details at   763-754-7666.

Faith Formation&
FAITH FORMATION (GRADES 1-8)
Calendars have been mailed to all families that are registered for classes. Extra calendars are available on the table outside the nursery.

SUNDAY SCHOOL  (Ages 3 - Kindergarten)
Classes start Sunday, September 30 during the 9:30 or 11:30 Mass.  Volunteers still needed, teacher training will be Sunday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m.

ELEMENTARY
Classes start Tues./Wed. September 18 & 19 at 4:45 or 6:30 p.m.  The first night there will be a parent/student orientation in the gym.  Parents and students meet your teacher in the gym.  Classrooms will be posted.
