Liturgy News

The Liturgy, and especially the Mass, is the center and source of the Christian life, and also the center of our unity.  This is why the Church has always paid so much attention to it, and continues to do so as the years go on.  Recently a New General Instruction of the Roman Missal was published for the whole Church.  The American bishops have made certain adaptations to the general document, and these have been confirmed by the Holy See.  December 1st is the implementation date for the new guidelines.
In the coming weeks we will be talking about what the new guidelines will mean for St. John's and how we celebrate the liturgy.  The changes will not be huge; we've been doing most of this already.  We'll keep you posted.
