Financial Planning Seminar

The St. John's Stewardship Committee is sponsoring a panel discussion to assist parishioners in minimizing their taxes and managing their personal finances.

Mark Beethe, CPA and financial advisor with             Cornerstone Financial Advisors, LLC in New Brighton.  Mark will focus on the basics of family financial planning for everyday life.

Terry Nygaard, CPA and Senior Tax Manager with Ernst & Young in Minneapolis.  Terry will focus on year-end     personal tax planning to help parishioners save tax dollars in 2002.

Tom Cronin, CPA, Managing Director of National Tax Services, and partner with RSM McGladery in Bloomington.  Tom will cover some of the basics of family estate planning.

Ed Robinson, CPA, will moderate the discussion. 

In addition, during the month of December, the bulletin will feature articles on personal finances, taxes and charitable donations.

OPEN DOORS - A social group for divorced, widowed, and single men and women -- meets the second Tuesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the St. Vincent De Paul Room for socializing and snacks.  Come to the meetings or just the events.  You're always welcome!! 

No regular monthly meeting this month.  Next meeting will be January 14, 2003!

- Holidazzle Parade- Meet for an early dinner at 4:00 pm at the Oak Room in downtown Marshall Field's Store (7th & Nicollet Mall).  Park in Marshall Field's parking ramp.  Holidazzle parade begins at 6:30 pm.  Please RSVP to Deb at (651) 639-8210. 

December 14 - Holiday Potluck to be held in St. Joseph's Hall.  Social hour at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner.  Bring a dish to share and a wrapped "white elephant" gift.  Entertainment and games following dinner.  Beverages will be provided - donations will be appreciated.
