AFTERNOON QUILTER'S ALERT!  We will be getting together on Thursday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jeanne Jugan Senior Center on the lower level.  Please bring a large-eye needle and your favorite scissor.  We've got lots of quilts to tie!
We will also be meeting on Friday, February 22 at 1:00pm  Mark your calendar now!

SILVERTONES MONTHLY MEETING
The February Silvertones meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 20.  The meeting begins at 10:45 a.m.  Lunch follows at 11:30 a.m.  Following lunch we will play "Buck Bingo".  The cost for lunch is $3.    Reservations are required for lunch.  Please call Jean Schreyer, 651-636-5803, no later than February 17  to make a reservation. 

VALENTINE'S DAY LUNCH
Come to lunch on Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14 at the New Brighton Family Service Center.  Make your reservations starting February 5 by calling 651-638-2145.  Mention St. John's Silver Tones for seating.

Liturgy News&
NEW COAT ROOM
Please use our new coatroom located at the west entry of Saint Paul Plaza. During the winter months using the coat room will help free up space for others to be seated at the 4:30, 9:30 & 11:30 Masses.

LOST AND FOUND
Missing articles of clothing, jewelry etc. are now located in Saint Paul Plaza just under the counter at the 'service bar' on the left side. Articles not picked up after a reasonable time will be donated to the Salvation Army for God's poor.

POINSETTIAS
Anyone who wants a Christmas Poinsettia, please pick up Sunday after 6:15 p.m. Mass, Monday or Tuesday.   After Tuesday they will be removed for  Lent.

OPEN DOORS (divorced/widowed/singles group) meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Pastoral Center for socializing and snacks.

--7:00pm in St. Joseph Hall.  Open Doors will sponsor Pete Feigal, who will speak from his own experience on "Making the Most Out of Life" Refreshments following speaker.

February 16--(Date Correction) Cosmic bowling at  Flaharty's in Arden Hills (Cty. Rd E & Snelling Ave.) Lanes are reserved from 1:30--4:00 p.m.  Cost for bowling is $3.75 per  person.  RSVP to Teri at St. John's (651-633-8333) by February 11.


March 2--Grand Casino Hinckley.  Leave St. John's parking lot at 9:00 a.m. and depart Grand Casino at 3:30 p.m.  Free shuttle bus.  $5.00 play or food coupon when signing up for "Grand Advantage Card".  If interested, call Teri with name, address and birth date.  Must RSVP with date of birth to Teri by February 25.  Bring a friend!

Respect Life&
The St. John's Respect Life Committee will meet Tuesday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Clare Conference Room (upper level).  Members and others are invited to come and make plans for our spring activities.

Lenten Study Group&
Anyone interested in studying portions of the new Catechism of the Catholic Church is invited to a Lenten Study Group with Fr. Michael.  Sunday afternoons, February 10--March 24, from 4:00--5:30 p.m.  Short selections of readings will be required in advance.  All are welcome.  For more information please contact Fr.
