Liturgy News&
WHAT TO DO ABOUT LENT?
In times past we only thought of what not to do during Lent. This year along with giving something up, why not think of doing something positive like:  Bringing someone who lives alone to church on Sunday, or bringing a friend and/or someone who can't drive at night to Mass at 5:30 on the Friday's of Lent, staying for a simple soup supper and Stations of the Cross and Benediction. The Friday's of Lent are a liturgical trilogy of sorts. Come for Mass, and/or supper and stay for the Way of the Cross. Do you have children who don't even know how much Jesus suffered on the cross? Bring them to Stations to see just how much Jesus loves them. Do something to instill in their young minds a ritual action which they will carry with them for life. "Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, calling O sinner, come home."

LENTEN HOSPITALITY
During Lent this year, we will serve a simple hospitality after Mass. Lenten cookies with a purple cross, bagels and plain donuts. As you count your blessings, let this change of fare be as a token Lenten offering. When Easter comes, we'll then have 50 days of sweets and much feasting.
