CIRCLE OF WOMEN
Rosanne Bane will be our speaker on Thursday, February 28, 2002.  Her topic will be "Rekindle Your Creative Fire."  Rosanne is a creativity coach at Imagination Ink and author of "Dancing in the Dragon's Den:  Rekindling the Creative Fire in Your Shadow."  She has taught creativity classes for over twelve years and works with individuals in one-to-one coaching sessions to support them as they explore their creativity and take action to make their dreams a reality.  Rosanne helps her students clarify their vision, eliminate obstacles and celebrate their success as they take the risk to be true to themselves and live with satisfaction and joy.  Circle of Women invites all women of all ages to join us from 9:15--11:30 a.m.   Childcare is provided by Kari Gill (please pre-register your child by calling 763-785-6947).

The annual Holy Thursday Church Tour (March 28) is open for all interested parties.  We will leave St. John's at 9:30 a.m. and return by 4:00 p.m.  We will be visiting churches beginning in south central Minneapolis and move southwest ending up at St. Victoria Parish, Victoria.  Space is limited.  A flyer is available in the parish office.  Cost:  $30 per person (includes transportation & lunch).

CHAIROBICS CLASS
The CHAIROBICS class meets Tuesday & Thursday at 9:15 p.m. in the Senior Leisure Center on the lower level of the parish center.  This is an ongoing activity so anyone may join at any time.  While directed toward seniors and persons with physical limitations, it is an effective aerobic activity for all levels.  There is no charge.  A free will     offering is accepted to cover expenses.  Give your muscles and joints a break.  Come join us!

Music Notes&
We love our new choir room!  It is making such a  difference for us.  We now have a place to practice without constant usage conflicts, as well as adequate  storage for our equipment.  How did we ever live without it?  It is so much easier to hear ourselves sing during rehearsals, everything we need is so convenient, and of course the new Steinway piano is a joy to use.  We have ordered risers for the room, which will be convertible to a portable stage, open for use by the youth, school, or faith formation departments.  A thousand THANK YOU'S to our donors!

We are now offering meditative instrumental music at the 6:15 p.m. Mass.  While the liturgy continues to be spoken, not sung, and no hymns are included, some of St. John's instrumental talent will play at certain times of the liturgy.  Today's musician is our choir accompanist,    Jody Peterson.

St. Vincent De Paul&
HEY BUDDY!

"Hey buddy, got a buck for a pair of socks?" That's a new one, what happened to "got a dime for a cup of coffee?" Well coffee doesn't cost a dime anymore. A cup of coffee at Starbucks cost as much as two pairs of socks. All things considered, that makes socks a pretty good buy!
So next time you get a coffee - remember our sock, t-shirt and boxer shorts collection during lent for the Simpson Homeless Shelter and St. Stephen's. Containers are at all church entrances.  Sponsored by St. Vincent De Paul.

"At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and        abandoned..."
