Adult Opportunities&
SEEKERS:  Adult Theological Book Club
We are seeking to form an adult faith.  You are  always welcome to join us, we ask only that you read the book.  The book for April is Lazarus by Morris West.  We will meet Thursday, April 25, 7- 8:30 p.m. in the  St. Vincent de Paul Room.  Questions?  Call Sandy at 651-633-1540.

CIRCLE OF WOMEN
Peggy Renk will be our guest speaker on Thursday, April 4, 2002.  Her topic will be "Chemical Addiction and Families,"  part of which Peggy will share her own faith story.  Peggy has been a  member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for over 17 years and a member of the Circle of Women.  Peggy holds a degree in art and a 2 year Chemical Dependency Certification.  She works part-time as a Chemical Dependency counselor in the Family Program at Fairview-University Medical Center, Riverside location.  The Circle of Women invites ALL women of ALL ages to join us this Thursday,  April 4, 2002 at 9:15am in the Pastoral Center Upper Level.  Childcare is provided by Kari Gill (please pre-register your child by calling 763-785-6947).

New Exterior Cross

A new cross has been designed by Father James Notebaart and fabricated for Saint John's by Saint Paul Fabricating for the west side of the church. The cross is made of stainless steel and aluminum with a granite base weighing in excess of 2800 pounds. It stands eighteen feet high and fourteen feet wide. We are truly blest by this remarkable gift to the church and larger community. Please remember in your charity the souls of Pauline and Louis Schifsky in whose memory it has been given and erected.

NEW Hospitality Ministry Team! 

We are looking for 2 to 5 people to assist before & after each Mass.

There are various duties and eight time periods from which to choose, each lasting about an hour.

during hospitality times each weekend.  Check it out!

School News&
On Friday, April 5, there is early dismissal at 12:25 p.m.  The P.M. Kindergarten class attends in the morning.  There are NO CLASSES for the morning kindergarten. 

MAT8 testing for Grades 1-7 on April 9, 10 and 11.  Please do not schedule appointments on these days.

Parent-teacher conferences are 10:00--7:30 on Thursday, April 18 and 9:00--2:00 on Friday, April 19.  Kindergarten conferences are on Wednesday, April 17.
