Seniors&
ARCHDIOCESAN SENIOR RECOGNITION EVENT
Each year Catholic Charities--Division of Aging sponsors a Senior Recognition Mass and Celebration with the Archbishop as the guest celebrant.  This year the event will be held Wednesday, May 15 at Transfiguration Church in Oakdale.  The event begins with Mass at 10:30 followed by lunch and entertainment.  The bus will leave St. John's at 9:45 a.m. and will return approximately 2:30 p.m.  Cost $20 (includes motor coach transportation). If you wish to travel to the event independently, the cost for the lunch and program is $13.  Please stop in the parish office to make your reservation. Registration and payment must be received by May 8.

SILVERTONES
There will be NO Silvertones meeting or lunch in May due to our participation in the Archdiocesan Mass & Celebration for Seniors (see above).

Bulletin Board&
The St. John's Women's Evening Bridge Club is          sponsoring a Bridgemixer on Thursday, May 9 at        New Brighton Eagles Hall (563 9th Ave NW).  A buffet supper will be served at 6 p.m. followed by bridge.      Reservations are required by

OPEN DOORS (divorced/widowed/singles group) meets the second Tuesday of each month from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the St. Martin de Porres Room for socializing and snacks.

June 8 - Twins fan? Even if you're not, come anyway! Twins vs. Florida Marlins -- game time is 6:05 p.m.   Meet at 4:00 p.m. at Grandma's (1810 Washington Ave S MPLS MN) for an early dinner.  Reservations under "Open Doors."  Cost of ticket is $10.  Money must be dropped off or mailed to St. John's Church, Attention:  Open Doors/Twins Game by May 10. Must RSVP no later than May 10 to Paul at 763-789-4239.

SERVER TRAINING
Training for new servers, June 10--14, 9:30 a.m.--noon.  Class size is limited to 16--sign up early!  Students who are entering Grade six and older are welcome to become servers.  Register by calling Teri at 651-633-8333.
