Makaria&
MAKARIA MINISTRY MEETING
The Makaria Ministry supports just family relationships that seek the common good for each family member.  Through prayer, education and pastoral care we achieve this.  The Makaria Peer Minister is a strong advocate for peace in the family.  We invite parishioners to serve as Prayer Partners for the ministry and/or the Makaria Peer Ministers to those seeking pastoral care for the trauma which results from experiencing family violence.  Come join us on Wednesday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the  St. Clare Conference Room

BOY SCOUT TROOP 93 NEWS
We expanded in March as 15 Pack 93 Webelos crossed over into Boy Scouting with Troop 93! They split up into two new patrols:   The DEER patrol has Joe Ayers-Johnson, Luke Edmund, Jordan Fuller, Aaron Jacobson, Tyler Lee, Pierce Lubinski, Jason Sandquist, and Zak Wesen-Kahn.
The COBRA patrol has Josh Congdon, Joe Dreshar, Patrick McKeown, Seth Oberle, Johnathon Towle, Ryan Wagner, and Daniel Wind. Welcome to all of these boys. They were awarded the "Boy Scout" rank at the June 2nd Court of Honor.
Also at the June Court of Honor the following boys were awarded new ranks:
Boy Scout: Victor Saunders, Tenderfoot: Victor Saunders, Second Class: Daniel Hurley, Ben Kerzman, First Class: Danny Spiess, Star Scout: Matthew Gemlo, Greg Sandquist, Life Scout: Patrick Abraham, Tom Spiess. Additionally, there were 13 merit badges awarded.
Our Troop now has 38 boys in five patrols. Chris Kerzman was elected Senior Patrol Leader at the April Troop meeting.  We participated in the April "Schutzenfest" at Phillippo Scout Reservation near Cannon Falls. 26 boys camped in tents for two nights and participated in eight shooting sports.  We had a great time, and it was snowing heavily when we were breaking camp!
Our Troop went to Jay Cooke State Park in May. 18 boys camped in tents for two nights.  Morning lows were below freezing, so the campfires were especially appealing.
Charlie Goeble has retired as Scoutmaster of Troop 93 after many years being involved in Scouting and the last two as Scoutmaster. We all thank him for the outstanding job he has done with the boys, as well as serving our parish and community through Scouting. Troop 93 welcomes Brad Gemlo as our 12th Scoutmaster. Please wish him well and offer your support to him and our Troop.
