NEW ICON COMMISSIONED FOR CENACLE CHAPEL
The word icon comes from the Greek eikon, meaning image.  Often referred to as theology in color and doorways to heaven, icons are a form of sacred art, the content of which is spiritual--they reveal a vision of "a Kingdom not of this world".
The icon of Our Lady of Tenderness was written by Nicholas Markell of Golden Valley, MN.  Next week we will list the donors who made this very generous gift  possible.
