September 3 is the first day of school for the students at St. John's with classes beginning at 9:20 A.M. and school dismissing at 4:00 P.M. Students should be in their room by 9:15 We are sure that you will find this a rewarding year for your child/children. If at any time you have a question about school, do call the office (651) 633-1522. We wish the best for you and your family during the coming year. Please use your Target Card and Office Max Card designating St. John's New Brighton as your favorite school. Please save General Mills Cereal Box Tops and pop tabs. Please help us save labels for the "Campbell's for Education Program,: from the following items: Campbell Soups, Franco American products, Prego Spaghetti, Swanson frozen dinners, V8 products and Pepperidge Farm items.

Faith Formation& ATTENTION ALL FAITH FORMATION STUDENTS AND PARENTS: If you DID NOT register your child for Elementary Religious Education classes grades 1-6 or Sunday School Ages 3-Kindergarten last Spring please do so as soon as possible. Registration forms are located on the Faith Formation Table next to the west main doors in St. Paul Plaza and in the Office. Questions? ALL PARENTS OF SECOND GRADERS: Letters were sent out last week to register for The Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. NEEDED: Religious Education is in need of one-gallon ice cream buckets with handle and lid to use for snack buckets. If you have one at home could you please bring to church next weekend, drop off boxes will be setup in St. Paul Plaza or drop it off at the Parish Office. Thank you! TEACHER TRAINING All Elementary Religious Education Teachers Grades 1-6: Teacher Training will be held on Tuesday night Aug. 27th From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in St. Joseph's Hall. Dinner and an Overview of the new lesson plans and curriculum will be covered. Please attend and learn about all the wonderful changes in the format. Questions? TEEN TURF The youth of the parish are again staffing "Teen Turf" at St. John's Fall Festival, September 20-23. Volunteers are needed to help run the games and activities.Volunteers need not be peer ministers. This is a "fun" way to earn service hours! Please call Kate Roush to sign up 763-754-7666. PEER MINISTRY TRAINING 10th-12th graders who wish to be further involved in Youth Ministry should mark their calendars and plan to attend Peer Ministry Core Training IIB, September 15, from 12:00-4:30pm. Adult Opportunities& LITTLE ROCK BIBLE STUDY- Learn to make the Psalms of descriptive praise, trust and wisdom your own prayer. The Little Rock Bible Study will begin a seven week study of the Psalms, starting September 30 through November 11, on Mondays from 7:00-8:30 PM. Cost is $15.00 for materials.
