Adult Opportunities&
LITTLE ROCK BIBLE STUDY- Learn to make the Psalms of descriptive praise, trust and wisdom your own prayer.  The Little Rock Bible Study will begin a seven week study of the Psalms, starting September 30 through November 11, on Mondays from 7:00-8:30 PM.  Cost is $15.00 for materials.

SEEKERS (Adult Theological Book Club)
You are always welcome to join us, we ask only that you read the book.  We have chosen the Gospel of John for August.  You will need your Bible plus a commentary on the Gospel, which is available from Dorothy Kunze (651-633-1205).  We will meet Thursday, August 22, 7-8:30 p.m., in the St. Vincent de Paul Room.  Explore your faith, expand your vision.  We read a wide variety of books and ask a wide variety of questions, because we are seeking to form an adult faith.

FINAL MASS SERVER TRAINING
We have 12 openings left for Mass servers.  The final session will run Monday, August 19--Friday, August 23 from 9:30 - 11:45 a.m.  All five days are obligatory.  Please call the parish office to register--651-633-8333.  Grades 6 & up are welcome!
Silvertones&
AUGUST MEETING
Please join us for the August Silvertones' Meeting!  It will be held on Tuesday, August 20, at 9:15, (immediately following the 8:30 am Mass) in the Jeanne Jugan Room in the lower level of the Pastoral Center.  A continental break fast will be served at no charge.  No reservation is need for summer meetings.

Outreach...
IF YOU CAN...
Sew, cut, tie knots, etc. you can be part of a quilt-making group working on quilts for our upcoming Families  Moving Forward (FMF) program coming December 8.  Our goal is 18 single bed coverlets.  Helpers meet from 1:00--3:00 p.m. at St. John's the 2nd Thurs. & 4th Friday of the month.  Call Myrtle at 651-633-5102 or Carol at  651-639-9103 for more information.

Youth Newz&

A reminder to all who are registered to go to Valleyfair on Thursday, August 8, (this includes TNT campers):  The bus will depart St. John's at 9:30 am and return by 8:00 pm.  Contact Mark or Kathy if you have questions 763-754-7666.

All 9-12th graders are invited to consider joining St. John's Peer Ministry Team.  Peer Ministry Training I, Part 1, will be held August 17th From 10:00-4:30. Part 2 will be August 18th , 12:30-4:30.  This training will not be offered again this year,  so plan to attend these sessions if you wish to be involved in Peer Ministry.
