LADIES BRIDGE GROUP

PARISH CEMETERY COMMITTEE MEETING
The St. John the Baptist Cemetery Committee will be meeting Thursday, September 5, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. in St. Frances Cabrini (Room 209).
NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING
Modern Natural Family Planning  is based on comprehensive scientific research, is healthy and marriage building!  A series of classes on the highly effective Billings Ovulation Method taught by a qualified instructor, will begin on Sunday, September 29th here at the Church of St. John the Baptist.  For time of class, to register or for more information, call (612) 789-9422.
RENAISSANCE TOUR OF ITALY
That trip to Italy you have always wanted to take...now's your chance!  Fr. Perpetual Adoration&
Petitions granted in response to the prayers of some of our adorers:  "Two year old twin girl with multiple physical complications has started to eat on her own for the first time and is now gaining weight and growing significantly." "A family member is making a good recovery from a serious back injury."  "Daughter and son-in-law reconciling after a separation."
Sign up for a weekly hour with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in the Cenacle Chapel and bring your petitions to His merciful heart.  For information call Mary at (651) 633-5230 or Dorothy at (612) 789-8647.

OPEN DOORS -
A social group for divorced, widowed, and single men and women -- meets the second Tuesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in St. Martin de Porres Room for socializing and snacks.  Come to the meetings or just the events.  You're always welcome!! 
UPCOMING EVENTS:

August 28 - Last date for walking group from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  Meet at the boat launch area at Long Lake Regional Park.  Call Barb at 763-784-6399 with any questions. 

September 10 -Regular monthly meeting. Persons wishing to donate to the Open Doors' "singles" basket for the Fall-Fest auction, should bring their items to this meeting. Suggestions for donations could be gift certificates for movies, car washes, restaurants, gas, etc., disposable camera, picture frames, wine, coffees, candy, etc.
September 14 - Rescheduled date for lawn bowling at Brits Pub, located in downtown Minneapolis on Nicollet Avenue between 11th & 12th Streets.  Plan to arrive and meet upstairs on bowling green by 3:30 to sign up.  Game begins at 4:00 p.m.  Approximate cost per person is $5.00 plus food and beverage.  RSVP to Mary Kay at 612-782-3872 by September 12.
