	Perpetual Adoration


	Jesus told St. Maria Faustina to "Adore, in the Blessed Sacrament, My Heart, which is full of mercy. I want Adoration to take place … for the intention of imploring Mercy for the world." Adorers are needed for Tuesday, 1 AM - 2 AM, and Saturday, 3 AM - 4 AM. No one is signed up for these hours. Substitutes are available for times when you can not attend. Please call Dorothy at (651) 636-1660 or Jerry at (651) 636-2054 to sign up or for additional information.


	Socks and Blankets for the Homeless

Last spring, Simpson House Services had to close one of its shelters because of lack of funding. This shelter was in a building that the U of M had once used as an animal experiment center. It had two satellite toilets on a loading dock for facilities. There were no beds or mats to lay on, just cold tile floors. Some nights, as many as 500 people would come in from out of the cold. This year when the other shelters are full, the only protection against the elements are the blankets we collect in the next few weeks. They are given out to the homeless men and women as they leave the shelters. They need all the warm blankets and socks the good people of St. John's can provide.
