Circle of Women…
Please join our regular Thursday Morning meeting on January 16, 2003, from 9:15-11:30 am. Our speaker Sheila Wiley will present "A Different Childhood Path: Honoring your Child's Abilities." Ms. Wiley is a stay-at-home mom, home-schooling her 7 year old son. In attempting to honor her child's gifts rather than his difficulties, Ms. Wiley has found herself on an unusual path. She is a former Open U, and adult education teacher, and is now trying to discover the best ways to educate a child who is both gifted and considered to have learning disabilities. She is an expert on this child only, but her shared experiences may resonate within your family too. Come join the Circle, and bring a friend......
Call Circle of Women Coordinator Ruth Pauly with your questions 651-717-0010 .Child care will be available; suggested donation is $3. Please call Rita 651-639-0291 to register your child.

What A Wonderful World!
Just like the St. John's video that sings this song - we have to agree - but maybe we should change the last word - how about - what a wonderful parish!
We asked for socks and blankets for the homeless during November. You contributed 270 blankets, 7 sleeping bags, and 3164 pairs of socks. That's more than double what we did last year!
We filled 20 large (30 gallon) garbage bags with socks. The shelter was overwhelmed with your generosity!Thank you St. John's, you truly are a wonderful parish!
