Food Shelf...

A BIG thank you to everyone here at St. John's for generously contributing 12,318 pounds of food in the year 2002!  Of the food donated, we kept a small portion for our own Food Shelf, which served 100 people last year.  All snack items are delivered weekly to Community    Partners with Youth, which is an after school program that serves 150 kids every day.  The remainder of the food goes to Ralph Reeder Emergency Food Shelf to feed families in our community. Their numbers for 2002 were up 25%, however, donations were also up 25%!  Thank you for your generosity!  We are currently low on personal hygiene items, paper towels, toilet paper, canned fruit, cereal, dessert mixes, canned stew, fruit juices and snacks.
St. John's Food Shelf Hours: M-W-F 10 am to Noon.  If  interested in volunteering, call Renee (651) 636-8934.
