Music Notes...

A Blast From the Past:  All during the month of February, the adult choir will be reviving favorite SJB anthems from the past, whetting your appetite for our Sunday, March 2 concert, 100 Years of Music at SJB.  All of our music ensembles will participate in this event.  Mark your calendars!

CALLING ALL FORMER CHOIR MEMBERS (AND NEWCOMERS):  Sing with us for our upcoming event, 100 Years of Music at St. John's, Sunday, March 3!  We will be resurrecting favorite anthems from past decades, as well as classic and memorable hymns and liturgical pieces.  Renew fond memories of music and friends as you rehearse with us through January and February, Wednesdays at 7:15 in the choir room.  Contact Cheri Sykes at 651-633-8333.

Adoration...

Perpetual Adoration offers an opportunity for a quiet and intimate weekly hour with the Lord Jesus present in the Holy Sacrament in the Cenacle, the small chapel adjoining the Chapel of Angels in the Parish Center.  A number of hours have opened up due to moves, changes in work schedules, "snowbirds" leaving, etc.  An especially urgent need is for two adorers on Friday, 1-2 AM.  Other openings  include  7-8 am,  1-2 pm and 6-7 pm Friday and other days and times.  Questions?  Please call Jerry  at (651) 636-2054 or Dorothy at (651) 636-1660 .

Cana Dinner
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8TH, 2003

All Couples are invited to celebrate their Marriage at the Annual Cana Dinner-Saturday, February 8th.  We will be goiong over to St. Joseph's Hall after the 4:30 Mass for a delicious dinner catered by Vescio's.  The evening will include entertainment and dancing to the music of the "Wild Honey and the Locust" musical ensemble.  Reservations are required, the cost is $45.00 per couple or $160.00 per table of  8.  Please call for more information.  Mary Walus (651) 633-1540 ext. 1227.

Circle of Women…

      We welcome women of all ages to share our regular Thursday Morning meeting on February 6, 2003 from 9:15-11:30 am.   Our speaker  Kris Rain will present 12 aspects of Compassionate Love.  Ms. Rain is a practicing Zen Buddhist, and local author of "Kissing Orchids", Dewdrop on a Rose Petal" and Only Girls Go To Heaven" Come join the Circle, and bring a friend... Little Lights Preschool
Our preschoolers have been busy in the new year celebrating the theme "Winter Wonderland"  They made gingerbread, decorated gingerbread houses, and made snowflakes.  They also explored the frigid outdoors during a winter nature walk.
   We had a great turn out at preschool round-up.  Classes are filling fast, so get your registrations in early. 
     The children closed the month with "Pajama Day" where they enjoyed making and
eating homemade pizza!
