GROWING THROUGH LOSS SERIES 
Tomorrow, Monday, March 3rd at Presbyterian Church of the Way in Shoreview-   "Why Do I Feel So Mixed Up and Crazy?"  with  Valerie Brown-Greely, M. FAMILIES MOVING FORWARD   On Monday, March 10th, we will be having a sign-up and training for anyone interested in working our next "Families Moving Forward" week which we will host the week of April 27th.  Meeting starts at 7:00 pm in the St. Martin de Porres room.  Call Anne Marie with Questions.
Adoration...
Lent is almost upon us.  What better way to grow closer to the Lord this lenten season than to spend time in His     presence before the Blessed Sacrament.  Drop by when you have  some time or sign up for a specific hour each week by calling Dorothy at (651) 636-1660 or Jerry at (651) 636-2054.  A board on the table outside the entrance to St. Joseph's Hall shows the hours where additional adorers are needed and can also used to sign up.
Circle of Women…
We welcome women of all ages to share our Thursday morning meeting on March 6, 2003, from 9:15-11:30 am. Our speaker, Brian Szott will present Her Story:   175 years of Portraying Women in Minnesota.  Mr. Szott is curator for the Minnesota History Museum and will bring us visually into Women's History month.  Come join the Circle, and bring a friend…

Faith Formation…
ATTENTION PARENTS:  Please remember we will not have classes on March 4-5.  We will attend Mass at 7:00 pm on Ash Wednesday as a group.  The east side of the church will be reserved for the Faith Formation Students.  Classes will sit with their teacher.  Questions?  Call Teresa Neuman, (651) 633-1540 Ext. 1234.
MANY THANKS!!  A big thank you to the group leaders for First Eucharist.  You did a wonderful job.  Thanks to all the parents and students who attended.  Chapter 2 was due last week.   This week, Chapter 3 should be covered.  Next group session is Saturday, March 15.  Call Teresa with questions.

Music Notes
     All SJB music ensembles have been busily preparing for today's concert, A Retrospective: 100 Years of Music at SJB. Expect a tour of classics and favorites from over the years. Don't miss this event, at  3 pm today, Sunday, March 2. Come ready to sing!
     We welcome to our 4:30 Mass today the Twin Cities Schola Cantorum , an ecumenical male choir made up of men embracing Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox beliefs.  Their charter is to sing the best of Christian church music for contemporary congregations.  Since 1971 they have  performed at dozens of churches.  Their director is Charlotte Lawson.  Men eighteen and over who are interested in joining the Schola, or in finding out more about its mission, are urged to contact Chair Arne Olson (612-822-6790), or any Schola member after this service.

HOSANNA (7TH-12TH GRADE TEEN CHOIR)  Rehearsal begin Wednesday, March 5th in the St. Cecilia Room 7:00-8:15 pm.  Only Six rehearsals to prepare our group to sing for Palm Sunday and Good Friday.  Schedule handed out at rehearsal.  Please  give our group a try!!

ASH WEDNESDAY

Ash Wednesday, March 5, marks the beginning of Lent .   The following fasting and abstinence regulations are observed:  Abstinence from meat is observed on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all the Fridays of Lent by all Catholics 14 years and older.  Fasting is observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59.  Those bound by this rule may take only one full meal.  Two smaller meals may be permitted as necessary to maintain strength according to one's needs.

   8:30 am - Mass with Ashes

   5:30 pm- Liturgy of the Word with Ashes
   7:00 pm- Mass with Ashes
