St. Vincent de Paul Society…

Members of St. John's Vincent de Paul Society  (SVDP)come together to help those in need for the love of God.  The society was founded in 1833 by Fredric Ozanam  in Paris.  There are currently 36,000 groups in the U.S. based on his model and Ozanam is now up for canonization.  (The Roman Catholic Church proclaimed St. Vincent de Paul the Universal Patron of Charitable Works in 1883.)
St. John's SVDP lead clothing and food drives and help at shelters. Members visit clients requesting help. Assistance is given to those in the community on an individual basis.
