Circle of Women…
We will not be meeting for the next couple of weeks on April 17th during Holy Week and April 24, due to school conferences in our school district.
We welcome of all ages to our next regular Thursday Morning meeting on May 1, 2003 from 9:15- aa:30 am.  Our speaker will be Angie Bailey, a columnist from The Edge.  She will present The Power of 1:  Choosing Kindness...Come join the Circle and bring a friend!

     We extend a warm welcome to the new adorers who signed up last weekend.
     We still need adorers for the following hours:
Tuesday 3-4 AM    and Monday 2-3 AM.

Music Notes

KINDERMUSIK  camp is coming to St. John's!  This one week music enrichment camp is open to all 4-7 year olds, and will be held the week of June 9-13th at St. John's.  There will be both a morning and afternoon session.  Flyers will be available in the Parish Office and in the Thursday Folder from school the week after Easter.  Enrollment is limited to 12 students per session. ADULT THEOLOGICAL BOOK CLUB  You are always welcome to join us, we ask only that you read the assignment-or at least a good part of it!  Our book selection for April and May is Who Killed Jesus?    By John Dominic Crossan.  Read up to page 117 for April.  The meeting is Thursday, April 24, 7:00-8:30 pm. In the St. John Pastoral Center, St. Vincent de Paul (Room 210) We are seeking to develop an adult faith.  We invite you to join us and explore your faith and expand your vision.
St. Vincent de Paul Society…
The St. Vincent de Paul Group at St. John's reaches out to those who have serious financial problems because of medical expenses,  heating bills,  car repairs, rent, etc.  We have been able to  help some avoid becoming homeless.  Priority is given to members of our parish.  During 2002, $8520.00 was paid out for these various requests.  16 contacts were made.  We often give referrals to  other agencies in the area.  Gasoline, bus and Cub  vouchers are also given when needed.
