OTHER MUSIC NEWS:
EARTHEN VESSELS, our folk group, reconvenes this Monday, October 4. We lead the 4:30 p.m. Saturday Mass twice monthly, rehearsing each previous Monday night at 7:15 p.m. in the Choir Room. This ensemble, a lighter commitment than the SJB Adult Choir, mines the gems of the Gather hymnal. Singers & instrumentalists wanted.
THE SJB ADULT CHOIR is back in session, rehearsing Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. in the Choir Room. We sing every Sunday at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, September through May. Please join us this year! You are not required to note-read; you only need to carry a tune. We welcome seasonal singers and in general try to accommodate today's busy schedules. Our choir gets stronger every year, singing a mix of classics from various periods, as well as spirituals, Gospel, and new American standards. Special thanks to all the volunteers and staff who made our Fall Festival such a great - get - together. The sense of community was evident from the beginning of the Friday Gala right through clean up on Sunday evening. Being pastor of St. John's is a joy when I see people caring about our parish community.

FAMILY ROSARY IN OCTOBER
As October is the Month of the Rosary, please reserve Thursday evenings to pray with your family at 7:00 p.m. in St. John's Chapel of the Angels. Bring your private intentions as well as the needs of our country. Let us pray that God's will is accomplished in the November elections so that our families receive abundant blessings.
"Wherever two or more are gathered…" Just think how powerful our prayers can be when we gather together and invoke Our Blessed Mother to intercede on our behalf to her Divine Son, Jesus Christ!
MARK THESE DATES: October 7, 14, 21 & 28; Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Angels. After the Family Rosary, we will also pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
