Advent Season
Advent is right around the corner, and the Faith Formation Office is again offering to you some ways to keep Jesus as the focus of the season. Therefore, we have ordered different materials for you to use:
ø One of the materials, for busy people, can be placed on the refrigerator, and there is a short Scripture verse and thought for each day.
ø We have a booklet by Henri Nouwen entitled, "Our Light and Our Salvation," for those who have a little more time to read the Scripture and the reflection.
ø The last booklet has an activity piece centered around family; it is entitled, "Heaven and Nature Sing."
It is our hope that you will take only one of these three choices so that as many people as possible will be able to walk the Advent Journey with Jesus.
The baskets with the items will be on the Harvest Table in The Plaza on the first weekend of Advent, November 27/28. It is our hope that we can, in a small way, help our community to center themselves more on the whole mystery of the Incarnation rather than what is put in front of us by our materialistic world.
Happy Advent Journey!

Midnight Mass
Note: The time of the late Mass on Christmas Eve has been changed from 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. Christmas Eve this year is on a Friday; please mark your calendars now.
Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD)
CCHD is the most critical funding source for organizing work in the United States to address the root causes of injustice in our nation. Most funders focus solely on programs that address the symptoms of injustice, but CCHD tries to solve problems concerning the poor by taking on the root causes of why people are hungry and homeless and abused in the first place.
We want everyone to have a home and a living wage. Prisoners need a real opportunity to redeem themselves; and children, the elderly, immigrants, and the mentally ill need our support to live lives of dignity. Please support the work of CCHD; offering envelopes are in the kiosks in St. Paul Plaza. You may place your contribution in the Sunday collection or deliver it to the Parish Office. Thank you!
