Advent Highlights
 

  • Masses for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (150th Anniversary of the Dogma!) are Wednesday, December 8, at 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in Church.

Y Advent Evensong is Sunday, December 12 (Feast of Our  Lady of Guadalupe), at 4:00 p.m. in Church; festive
hospitality to follow; don't miss it! Y

  • St. John's first night of Communal Penance is Thursday, December 16, at 7:00 p.m. in Church (revised date!).
  • Christmas Band Concert by St. John's School is Thursday, December 16, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's Hall (revised location!).
  • Private Reconciliation opportunities are Friday, December 17, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, December 18, from 3:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
  • St. John's second night of Communal Penance is Monday, December 20, at 7:00 p.m. in Church.
  • All School Christmas Program is Tuesday, December 21, at 7:00 p.m. in Church.
  • Greening of the Church is Wednesday, December 22, at 7:00 p.m. A  holiday tradition at St. John's!


Christmas Highlights
 

  • Christmas Eve Festival Masses are Friday, December 24, at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. & 12:00 midnight (new time!); no morning Mass or Rosary.

  • Christmas Day Festival Masses are Saturday, December 25, at 8:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m. (no 4:30 p.m. Mass!).
  • Prelude music begins 30 minutes before each Christmas Mass, however, music for the Midnight Mass will begin at 11:15 p.m.
  • Feast of the Holy Family Masses are Sunday, December 26, at 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. & 6:15 p.m. (no 4:30 p.m. Vigil Mass!).
  • Feast of Mary, Mother of God Festival Masses are Friday, December 31, at 5:30 p.m. & 11:00 p.m. The liturgy at 11:00 p.m. is in candlelight; potluck hors d'oeuvres follow. No 4:30 p.m. Vigil Mass on Saturday, 1 Jan. 2005!
  • Feast of the Epiphany Masses are Sunday, 2 January 2005, at 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. & 6:15 p.m. (no 4:30 p.m. Vigil Mass!).
  • Epiphany Evensong is on Sunday, 2 January 2005, at 4:00 p.m. in Church; hospitality to follow.
