"A Community called and formed by the Gospel"

THANK YOU FROM THE BOOYA! TEAM

BOOYA! has been successful for 73 years, thanks to the generosity of many people. Thank you to...

© all the wonderful volunteer workers who helped  Friday night, Saturday & Sunday. Whether you
prepared the vegetables or meat; scrubbed and cleaned  the Booya kettles; set up and worked the dining room  or kitchen -- you helped to keep the tradition alive and  over 900 people came to enjoy the Booya.

© our family and friends who helped us cook 540
gallons of Booya, including Kathy & Tony Bona, Bill  Flor, and our sons Craig and Cory. Special thanks to  Wayne Spiering who helped us all weekend.

© Father Bill and Father Keating for helping with  take-out. All who stood in line enjoyed seeing your  smiling faces and hands at work (and we kept you out  of the dunk tank for a couple hours!).

© the staff of St. John's for all your help and
support; to the Festival Committee for the wonderful  cooperation -- we always work well together!

© all who made a financial donation; your generosity  is greatly appreciated.

© extraordinary helpers Pat Berczyk and Connie Lyke  who called the many volunteers to work over the  weekend. On Sunday, Pat ran the dining room and  Connie ran the kitchen. Your tireless energy is vital to  the success of the Booya; you are the best!

With Sincere Thanks,

Marianne & Ron Flor

THANK GOD FOR VOLUNTEERS!

A warm and heartfelt 'thank you' to every sponsor, volunteer, and parishioner who came to the Touch of Cajun Fallfest. Year after year, we try to bring you a festival to celebrate our community as a parish. The profits from Fallfest will be used to continue the invigorating programming that is so vital to St. John's. Thank you also to the hard working and devout committee heads who never seem to tire of the tasks they face. Suggestions and new committee people for next year are always welcome.  Thank you again for making the Fallfest possible each year; you are all so valuable! God Bless,

Deb Sulentic Zeien & Mary Justin, Fallfest 2004 Co-Chairs

FAMILY ROSARY IN OCTOBER

As October approaches, the Month of the Rosary, please reserve Thursday evenings to pray with your family at 7:00 p.m. in St. John's Chapel of the Angels. Bring your private intentions as well as the needs of our country. Let us pray that God's will is accomplished in the November elections so that our families receive abundant blessings.

"Wherever two or more are gathered…" Just think how powerful our prayers can be when we gather together and invoke Our Blessed Mother to intercede on our behalf to her Divine Son, Jesus Christ!

MARK THESE DATES: October 7, 14, 21 & 28; Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Angels. After the Family Rosary, we will also pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

As a Catholic Community, we joyfully proclaim and grow in the Good News of Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship, service, and lifelong faith formation.
