NO CLASSES for students on Thursday & Friday, October 20/21, because of the MEA Teachers' Convention.

WE HAD WONDERFUL PARTICIPATION in our Marathon, and our first grade class, Room 101, won the prize for the best attendance at Central Park in Roseville on October 1. The school uses the Marathon as its major fundraiser with all families participating. Many parents  contribute far more than the expected $100 per child donation. Many companies matched donations to the school this year so we are able to meet our $55,000 goal!

WE WANT TO THANK ALL of our parishioners who gave so generously. I want to remind you that St. John's School is a United Way recipient and can be designated by anyone to receive funds. All of these contributions continue to help St. John's keep tuition increases to a reasonable amount and to assist families who choose our Catholic school, but can't cover the full tuition. Thank you again for your generosity!

PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK the November Forerunner and read the article featuring our 2005 graduate, Ashley VanDanacker, who won a national award for the song she wrote in honor of the Year of the Eucharist. Congratulations to Ashley and her family! We are very proud of her.
