YOUR GIFT OF SERVICE: The parish community is in need of more people willing to help usher at the weekend liturgies. You do not need to sign up for life and we do not draw blood. If you are willing to help occasionally at the Mass you attend, we welcome your participation. Simply introduce yourself to an usher before Mass begins, and you will receive instructions. Then, on succeeding Sundays, simply ask an usher when you arrive if there is any need of your help for that Mass. Many thanks!

ALL SAINTS & ALL SOULS: All Saints Day is Tuesday, November 1, and the Festival Masses are at 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in Church (no Vigil Mass). All Souls Day is Wednesday, November 2, and Masses for this Feast Day are at 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in Church (no Vigil Mass).

"...Judas (Maccabeus) made provision for a sin offering to set free from their sin those who had died."

2 Maccabees 12:45

SUNDAY BULLETIN: Beginning in November, we will be making the bulletins available only at the end of each liturgy. All too frequently, well-meaning folks seem to be perusing the bulletin instead of participating at Mass. Nothing, not even our wonderful bulletin, trumps the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So please accept this change and do not put our ushers on the spot by asking for your copy in advance. As usual, the past week's bulletin is available in the St. Paul Plaza kiosks. Thanks for your cooperation.

COMMUNION FOR THE HOMEBOUND: If you would like to take Holy Communion home for the ill, you need to ask for a pyx at the upper sacristy from the Sacristan before Mass begins. Eucharistic Ministers and clergy will not give a Blessed Host for you to put in your pocket or purse. You must use an approved pyx. Also, we like to know in advance who is asking for this privilege of bringing Our Eucharistic Lord to the homebound.
