THE CALL TO RESPOND to the Gospel clearly mandates that we have a responsibility to serve those in our midst who do not have what they need and who are treated unjustly. This  can make people feel stuck. We can forget to see each person we meet as someone chosen by God first... loved by God first... and called by name by God first. We make decisions about how people found themselves in the situations they are. We decide who deserves what they got and who deserves help. We must pray for guidance and wisdom on issues of justice. The issues of poverty and injustice are not really fodder for discussion... they are real, they are in our community and across the globe, they challenge us to figure out what role we will have in making a difference, however big or small. I heard it said once that we spend time forming committees and having discussions around the issues of injustice while we walk over the bodies in our path on our way to our meetings... gives one pause for thought.

SERVERS, EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS & LECTORS: Changes for January, February & March 2006 are due next Sunday, November 27. Please make your revisions in the Change Book by the upper sacristy. Thank you.

WE WILL COLLECT PRESENTS FOR THE NEEDY again this Christmas Season. The Angel Tree will be on display in St. Paul Plaza near the Harvest Table beginning  Thanksgiving Day, November 24. Your gifts can be returned during the weekends of December 3/4 and December 10/11, but Sunday, December 11, is the last day to return gifts! We also need help collecting and delivering the toys. Please call Judy Q. if you can help, (651) 633-8333, ext. 1229. Thank you for being an angel...
