"Countdown!"
THIS WEEKEND, NOVEMBER 26/27, is the final weekend for our sock and underwear collection. The staff at Simpson Homeless Shelter is very appreciative of the generous people of St. John's. They tell us that it's one less thing they have to worry about each month throughout the year.
IF YOU HAVEN'T CONTRIBUTED socks or underwear yet, don't wait any longer! The blue containers will be in place until the 6:15 p.m. Mass Sunday night. Make it a family affair; let the kids be part of "clothing the naked." Teach them the ways of the Lord when they are young, and they will not stray. Thank you good people of St. John's. Have a Blessed Christmas Season!

ADVENT SEASON
THE FAITH FORMATION OFFICE is once again offering some ways to help your family keep Jesus as the focus of the season. There is a selection of materials for you to pick up in baskets at the Harvest Table in St. Paul Plaza:
A calendar for busy people with a Scripture verse and a short reflection.
A booklet by Henri Nouwen entitled "Be With Me Lord" for those who have a little more time to read and reflect.
The last booklet has an activity piece centered on family called "Prepare for Joy."
HAPPY ADVENT JOURNEY!

WE WILL COLLECT PRESENTS FOR THE NEEDY again this Christmas Season. The Angel Tree is now on display in St. Paul Plaza near the Harvest Table. Your gifts can be returned during the weekends of December 3/4 and December 10/11, but Sunday, December 11, is the last day to return gifts! We also need help collecting and delivering the toys. Please call Judy Q. if you can help, (651) 633-8333, ext. 1229. Thank you for being an angel...
