YOUR PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION STATEMENT, from 1 January 2005 - 30 June 2005, was mailed to you so we could reconcile our records with yours. It is not a bill ("balance due" is just standard computer language). The biggest problem in reconciling statements is loose checks in the collection basket, and it is parish policy to only record checks written for $100 or more. If you write a check for less than $100, and you don't put it in your parish envelope, you will need to keep your canceled check as proof of your contribution. Therefore, please use your parish envelope when writing checks or making cash contributions. If you do not want to use your envelopes, please consider electronic giving because it is safe, convenient, and both you and St. John's will receive confirmation of your gift.
