THE OPENING OF SCHOOL is rapidly approaching.  We have openings in most grades: are you interested in a parish school education with small class sizes and a religion based curriculum? Come visit and see for yourself the miracles that occur here at St. John's School! Contact the principal, Sue Clausen, at (651) 633-1522.

WE WELCOME students and parents to meet their teachers and see the classrooms on Monday, August 29, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. "Meet the Teacher Night" is an opportunity to bring your child's school supplies and visit the homeroom for the year. Our physical education, music, art, library, and computer teachers will be present to meet all of you. Take the time to meet all the teachers that your children will have for the coming school year.

WE WILL BE READY on Tuesday, September 6, the first day of school, for the students at St. John's to begin their classes at 9:20 a.m.; school dismisses at 3:55 p.m.

BOTTLE BONANZA RETURNS! Start saving those jars and bottles for the return of Bottle Bonanza, last year's wildly popular, new Fallfest game. Bottles need to be clean, with a lid intact. There will be a prize given to the individual/family who brings in the most bottles (filled). For more information, please call Mary Anne Bennek at (651) 633-8333, ext. 1220.

THE KIDS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN! Please consider donating the following items: 2-liter plastic soda bottles (full) for Ring-a-Pop, jump ropes, water bottles, sunglasses, kites, pinwheels, spinner wands, travel games, small binoculars, paddleball games, sip cups, deck of cards, silly putty, hats/caps/visors, Frisbees, books, address books, diaries, puzzles, scrapbooks, photo albums, coloring books, dominos, notebooks, etc. Call Jeanne if you can help, (651) 633-4270 or (651) 726-0300. Thanks!

THE PRESCHOOL is eager to begin classes the week of September 12. There is an orientation day scheduled for Thursday, September 8; all registered families should have received the information about the start of school.
