Archbishop Harry J. Flynn will celebrate Mass at St. John's at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, and formally install Father Skluzacek as our pastor. St. John's Choir & Schola will perform at Mass (there will be incense). A reception in St. Joseph Hall will immediately follow the Mass. Everything should wrap up by 6:30 p.m. Please bring your family to mark this special event as Father Skluzacek officially becomes St. John's 13^th pastor.

We are very pleased to announce that a gift has been given to St. John's in the form of a stained glass window. The window, including new insulated frames and storm windows, will be installed in the Baptistry (above the baptismal font) this month. The design was approved by the Arts & Environment Committee and the Parish Council last spring, and it is now in production at Gaytee Stained Glass Studios of Minneapolis. On sunny days, look for many colors to burst forth onto the back wall and floor of the Church. The contemporary design, by renowned artist, the late Mr. William Saltzman, depicts the creation of water (Genesis 1:9) and the beauty and importance of water in the Sacrament of Baptism.
