PEACE COFFEE, Equal Exchange Tea, and CRS's Divine Chocolate are available in St. Paul Plaza after all Masses this weekend. Fair Trade Coffee is grown by small, organized cooperatives of farming families. Businesses are driven by a desire to fairly exchange and share the benefits of the world's second most traded commodity (after oil). Peace Coffee purchases directly from coffee cooperatives at a guaranteed minimum price resulting in farmers with a livable wage, fewer impoverished people, and widespread hope.

ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12, there is an ISAIAH evening, and everyone is welcome. If you were at the Faith in Democracy event in November, you were asked to sign up for ongoing involvement in different areas of interest, with regard to future legislative agendas, issues, and decisions on the table. If you are interested in coming, all are welcome to attend. The gathering begins at 7:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Hall.

WATCH for continuing information regarding global warming and some very basic ways that we can all become more conscious of preserving and caring for our environment. "Care for God's Creation" is one of the seven basic principles of Catholic Social Teaching. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God's creation. This environmental challenge has fundamental moral and ethical dimensions that cannot be ignored.

AS OF NOVEMBER 30, Food for the Poor has received $24,831.33 to build a school in Bull Bay, Jamaica; only $7,700 away from the goal. Thank you and congratulations to you for a generous heart in serving the poor!

CIRCLE OF WOMEN: Please note that there will be no gatherings on Thursday, December 14, December 21, or December 28 because of the Christmas Season. Please join us for our first gathering of the New Year on Thursday, January 4. Barb Tako will be our guest speaker, and she will speak on "Kids & Clutter." Should be a good one!

A SPECIAL "THANK YOU" to our Advent Tea hostesses, helpers, and attendees. We hope you enjoyed it! An extra special "thank you" to St. John's parishioner Laura Krystofiak for providing the beautiful Christmas music.
